My professor said she placed a book on Hold in the library for us. Where is it?

Reserve materials or Reserve books

Answer

Any books, journal articles, practice tests, etc., that a professor has placed on Reserve (or "Hold") for a course are kept at the Circulation Desk at all four CU Libraries, at their respective campuses.

1. Go to the CU Libraries Catalog

2. Select the "Course Reserves" button

3. Search by Professor's name, title of the publication, Course ID, etc.  Make note of the call number of the Reserve item you want.  Make sure that the Reserves item is located at the campus Library you want.

4. Go to your campus Library Circulation Desk. Be prepared to present your student ID card to check out reserve items. Just ask for the book by telling the Circulation student assistant the call number and your professor's name.

Reserve items may not be checked out overnight and must remain in the Library building.
